Brecon Wedding Photos and videos for Sam and Beth’s wedding at Craig Y Nos with wedding videography highlights and full gallery.
As busy Swansea wedding photographers, we get to work at the best wedding venues in the area. And this was certainly the case when we captured videography and photography for Sam and Beth’s wedding at Craig Y Nos.
We first met these two a few weeks earlier, when we captured their pre-wedding sunset shoot in Rhossili overlooking worms head. So, it was great to see them again.
On the day, we woke to sunshine and headed to Beth’s mums house to catch up with her bridal party. The atmosphere there was electric with everybody excitedly getting ready. And we got some great images and film.
We loved Beth’s dress, it elegantly skimmed her slender frame, had a pretty sweetheart neckline with a scooped low back and the most gorgeous layer of antique lace over her shoulders, neck and back. The skirt kicked out at the bottom in a trumpet shape giving her the most perfect silhouette in all of our images. And with hair by Bridal Braids and make-up by Julie Holmes, Beth looked stunning. She really suited being a bride, she looked so relaxed and comfortable and smiled all day. Us Swansea wedding photographers do love a smiley bride.

Bridesmaids looked lovely in light pink dresses. Both Beth’s and the bridesmaids’ dresses were bought from Rowberry Bridal and Fashion.
The wedding ceremony was held at St Peter’s Church in Pontardawe. Beth and her mum travelled there is style in a gorgeous 1930’s era classic car courtesy of Champagne Wedding Cars.
On arrival we had the chance to say hi to Sam who was there greeting guests. He and his grooms party looked very smart in tails, with grey waistcoats and pink ties that they’d hired from Dyfed Menswear. Beth was walked down the aisle by her lovely nan.
Now, we want to talk a little about St Peter’s Church in Pontardawe because it’s such an unusual and beautiful church. Gothic in style, it was built in the mid-fourteenth century and remains an impressive building today. It’s perfect for a wedding because its ornate interiors made a great backdrop when filming and photographing the ceremony. And the enormous stained-glass windows flood the space with tons of additional natural light that we played with to create even more beautiful images and film. Us Swansea wedding photographers and videographers are total geeks when it comes to banging on about light!
Storytelling wedding videography in Swansea
After a lovely ceremony, Beth and Sam walked back down the aisle to much applause and we got some great images. Here, take a look!
Everybody then stepped back outside into the sunshine and there was a fun confetti moment. As guests made their way to Craig Y Nos for the reception, we took Beth and Sam for a mini photoshoot around the Brecon Beacons National Park and the gardens and grounds of Craig Y Nos. We got some really romantic portrait images. We also used drone film and photography and got some amazing images of some wild mountain ponies that we were naturally thrilled with.
Reception drinks were held outside on Craig Y Nos’s terrace and gardens and we took our chance to capture everybodyhappily mingling and soaking up the sunshine. The wedding breakfast was held in Craig Y Nos’s impressive conservatory. With ceiling to floor windows, and a chandeliered ceiling with white drapes and fairy lights it’s a beautiful location for a wedding reception.
Beth and Sam made a fantastic entrance from the galleried landing down the stairs to much applause from their guests. There followed a sumptuous wedding breakfast and some very well received speeches. The speeches were given by maid of honour Kathy, Beth’s mum Angela, Sam’s mum Sally, Sam and lastly best man Gareth.

We must mention the flowers at this stage as they looked amazing and were the clever creation of the team at The Dancing Daffodil. And the cake, which was so simple and elegant in design, it had five tiers, (yes, count them five!) and was iced in plain white and decorated with beautiful flowers. The cake was made by Rebecca Gilmore
After the meal, guests spilled back outside to enjoy the late afternoon sunshine and we took our chance to get some formal group shots of the wedding party. Things didn’t stay formal for long. There were human pyramids, the bride and groom being given the bumps and a funny if not slightly alarming moment when the bridal party dropped Sam clean on the ground. It was so much fun and thankfully nobody needed to be taken to A&E!
Evening celebrations started with a romantic first dance, with a dry ice effect that made it look like Beth and Sam were dancing on clouds. Beth and Sam’s guests were itching to get on the dancefloor because four-piece wedding band Hot Squash were performing and really got the party started.
There were some serious shapes being cut on the dancefloor, there was a dance circle, several robot dances and even a headstand. (It’s a wonder that nobody got hurt at this wedding!) And it was the images of everybody enjoying themselves on the dancefloor that were the perfect ones to close the story of Beth and Sam’s day.
A wonderfully fun, family orientated wedding at a stunning Brecon wedding venue for this lovely pair. Congratulations to Sam and Beth for getting married and creating such an amazing day!
