Sparkford hall; candid wedding photography in Yeovil.

Happy smiling couple on their wedding day sat on a sofa laughter together at Sparkford Hall in Yeovil

Kadie and Andy’s wedding was a true reflection of their laid-back personalities, and we couldn’t have been more excited to capture it. They wanted a completely relaxed, fun-filled day where they could just enjoy every moment with no posing or stress—and that’s exactly how we love to work! The result? A beautiful collection of candid wedding photographs that truly capture the essence of their special day.

Exciting and Colourful Wedding Photography
Despite the wet and windy weather, spirits were high at Sparkford Hall. The strong winds made the colourful garlands sway and the wild flowers in the decorations flutter, but nothing could dampen the mood of the guests. There was so much joy and so many natural, smiling moments that we were able to capture throughout the day. Documentary wedding photography really shines when it’s about capturing real emotions, and Kadie and Andy’s day was filled with beautiful, unscripted moments.

Outdoor Ceremony under the Tipi
Kadie and Andy’s wedding ceremony took place outside under a beautiful tipi, where the elements added a bit of drama, but the warmth of the love between the couple kept everyone feeling cozy. Their outdoor wedding was intimate and relaxed, setting the perfect tone for the rest of the day.

Fun Moments and Personal Details
There were so many fun and quirky moments that made this wedding unique. One of our favorites was the shot of Andy sneaking in a pre-ceremony snack of Pom Bears—a candid, unposed moment that perfectly captured the relaxed vibe of the day. This is why we love documentary wedding photography—it’s all about those unexpected, real-life moments!

The wedding was decorated beautifully with colourful garlands, wild flowers, and festoon lighting that created a vibrant and festive atmosphere. The long candle-lit feasting tables in the barn were perfect for enjoying the evening’s pizza feast, which everyone absolutely loved.

Delicious Cakes and a Stunning Outfit Change
Kadie and Andy’s cake selection was a real highlight, featuring cupcakes, blondies, and cheesecake—something for everyone to enjoy! After a fun-filled day, Kadie made an exciting outfit change, swapping her figure-hugging gown for a sparkly 1920s flapper-style dress that shimmered as she danced the night away. The outfit change was a fantastic way to get the party started, and she looked incredible while doing so!

The father-daughter dance was a touching moment and an incredible way to kick off the dancing. It was another one of those beautiful, emotional moments that we were so grateful to capture.

A Stunning Sunset to End the Day
Considering the unpredictable weather, the lucky couple ended their day with an amazing surprise: a sky full of beautiful sunset colours. Despite the rain and wind, the sunset was the perfect way to wrap up the day and create a final stunning backdrop for some last-minute wedding photos.

What they said -
Kadie and Andy were so pleased with their wedding photos, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. They shared their thoughts with us:

It’s moments like these that make documentary-style wedding photography so special. When we can deliver photos that truly represent the couple’s day—authentic, joyful, and real—it’s incredibly rewarding.
