Morgans hotel fun relaxed wedding videographer + photography
Informal, relaxed Swansea wedding photographers + videographers.
We had so much fun capturing Jenny and Jon’s spring wedding in Swansea filled with a relaxed informal atmosphere. We first met these two when we captured their pre-wedding photo shoot at Llangennith, North Gower, in the sand dunes. Seeing them again on their wedding day felt like catching up with friends, the crazy type of friends that we love! At Flashbulb photography and videography, both of our wedding packages include a pre- wedding photoshoot.
On the glorious day bright with sunshine, we made our way to Jenny's house for some bridal preparation photos. Lo and behold, Jenny was surrounded by her trusty bridal party and the hair wizard from Hobo Hair Design, along with the makeup maestro, Farhana Ali. The festivities had already commenced early in the morning with coordinated PJ's, a fabulous breakfast brunch, and a touch of bubbly to get the excitement flowing!
Let's not forget how absolutely stunning Jenny looked in her Pronovias dress. It was a showstopper, with a v neck, an exposed waist, and layers of skirt that made her silhouette look absolutely ethereal in every shot we took. And ohhh, the bouquet! The talented folks at West End Florist crafted a masterpiece with hues of gold and pink that perfectly complemented Jenny's look. Even her four bridesmaids were dripping elegance in their rose gold dresses. We managed to capture some fantastic images of the whole gang before we made our way to the ceremony. Speaking of which, the ceremony took place in the extraordinary Grade II listed Clyne Chapel, surrounded by the grounds of Clyne Gardens. As we arrived, we caught up with the ever-cool Jon with his even cooler New York accent and his best man (and brother) Alex. These gents were the epitome of suave, rocking light greeny grey check suits from Moss Bros. Boy, where all eyes on them, especially the little Harrison!
Bringing all the fun to wedding films and photos with a relaxed approach.
The ceremony was a small and intimate affair just for family and a few close friends. Jenny was walked down the aisle by her mum. There followed a lovely ceremony that included a reading by Jon’s sister Tabetha.
After the ceremony, we took Jenny and Jon to Clyne Gardens next door for a fun photoshoot. These spectacular botanical gardens making the perfect backdrop for some amazing images.
But here comes the twist. Just as we were soaking up the magical vibes, an escaped Cavapoo dog decided to crash the party. But as a true knight in shining armour, a.k.a Jon came to the rescue! He swiftly scooped up the adventurous pup to prevent any fashion faux pas on Jenny's dress. And yes, it is all on tape.
Although we should mention that Jenny is actually a vet… So, all that fuss about a little muddy paw print on her dress? Please. She wouldn't even lose a wink of beauty rest over it. Cinderella vibes, who?!
With photographer & Videographer approved memories in the bag, The intimate wedding party (AKA the exclusive posse) then all headed to Morgans Hotel for drinks, dinner and speeches. With speeches delivered by Jon, his brother and best man Alex and by Jenny’s uncle.
Let's just say there were laughs, tears, and everything in between, including a minor change to the classic song by Smokie to “who the fuck is Jen”.

With everybody then gathering at Uplands Rugby Club, for the evening party, with Jen and Jon making a spectacular entrance to all their guests for the night whooping them into the room. Just before they hit the dancefloor for their first dance, Jen and Jon grabbed their heart shaped sunglasses, heading outside as the sun was setting to run “rom com style” through the long grass. These guys were so much fun to work with and we got some amazing images and film. The images of Jen and Jon running through the grass were amongst our favourites of the day, gallivanting like a couple of carefree gazelles. They were our "can't-get-enough-of-them" favorites of the whole freaking day!
We then headed indoors so that the evening celebrations could start. And start they did with a romantic first dance for Jenny and Jon. Then the live band Uptones launched straight into their first set. The dancefloor was instantly full of guests, with Jenny leading the charge. Let it be known that Jenny and her bridesmaids had been dancing and singing the iconic 'Jai Ho' song on repeat all day long, so they were more than ready to unleash their dancing prowess on that dancefloor. And what's the best choice of footwear for such a momentous occasion, their wedding day white crocs.
After live music sets from the band, music was provided by DJ Ben Williams, who made sure the dancefloor stayed full until late, crazy dance moves all the way!
A fantastically fun wedding for a truly lovely couple. Jenny and Jon’s fun wedding was the perfect match for our style of relaxed and informal wedding photography. Congratulations guys and thank you for having us there. We loved it!
