If you are looking for proof that weddings do not need to be serious to be meaningful, Shona and Beau’s day at Shack Revolution in Hereford is it. This was a wedding built on laughter, personality and doing things their own way. From peace signs at the camera to a full dancefloor commitment, this day was unapologetically fun from start to finish.

Wedding Photography at Shack Revolution, Hereford

Shona and Beau tied the knot at Shack Revolution, one of the coolest industrial wedding venues in Hereford.

The venue is packed with character, from textured walls and courtyards to the instantly recognisable black and white checked wall that makes an appearance in many of their photos.

Their ceremony took place outside in the sunny courtyard, beneath a beautiful flower arch, with guests gathered around soaking up the relaxed, festival feel. Shack Revolution is perfect for couples who want an informal wedding venue with loads of visual interest and space to let the day flow naturally.

Morning Preparations at Aylestone Court Hotel

Wedding morning prep took place at Aylestone Court Hotel, giving us a calm and light filled start to the day. Shona was already in full spirits, laughing throughout prep and flashing a peace sign every time the camera caught her eye. These moments set the tone for the entire wedding and made for some brilliant, natural photos and film.

The Style, The Details and The Suppliers

Shona wore a stunning dress from Aston Rose Bridal, which suited her perfectly and moved beautifully throughout the day. Beau and the boys were dressed by Tuxedo Junction, keeping things sharp but relaxed.

Flowers were created by The Chapel Florist Ltd, with a soft palette of cream and white flowers mixed with greenery and eucalyptus. The florals worked perfectly against the industrial textures of Shack Revolution and tied everything together effortlessly.

Hair and makeup were by Ruth Starkie MUA and Hair by Holly, keeping Shona looking polished but completely herself. The wedding breakfast room was styled by Dress to Impress by Julie, with thoughtful personal touches throughout, including a personalised Mr and Mrs Beere sign hanging proudly over the entrance to the Shack.

A Proper Party Entrance and Incredible Food

The entrance to the wedding breakfast was anything but traditional. The entire wedding party danced their way into the room, straight to the top table, immediately turning dinner into a party. It was one of those moments where everyone instantly relaxes and knows the rest of the day is going to be good.

Food was a huge highlight. Canapés and the main meal came from The Beefy Boys, serving up unreal burgers and fries that went down an absolute storm. As vegetarian photographers and videographers, we do not say this lightly, Beefy Boys did not let us down. Mouth watering food and highly recommended.

Evening fish and chips was by Silver Street Food, with Party Floss adding a playful, nostalgic touch later in the night, getting messy with candy floss in all colours.

Music throughout the night was provided by The Everglow, who kept the energy high and the dancefloor full.

A Tenerife Love Story Comes Full Circle

Shona and Beau originally met on holiday in Tenerife. Shona had a leg cast and crutches and was wearing a fancy dress tiara. Beau was wearing a very bold, multi coloured shirt. Fast forward to the wedding day and, after their first dance, Beau reappeared on the dancefloor in that exact same shirt, crutch in hand.

He placed the tiara back on Shona’s head, handed her the crutch, and they danced away together like that. Funny, sweet and completely them. One of those moments that perfectly sums up why personal stories matter so much on a wedding day.

Ending the Night on the Dancefloor

We finished the night with moves being thrown on the dancefloor, the band in full swing and everyone fully committed. Shoes off, arms in the air and zero holding back. Shona and Beau are the kind of couple who remind you that weddings are meant to be fun, relaxed and full of laughter, and this one absolutely delivered.
