Storytelling wedding photos, Clyne Chapel & Clyne Gardens, Swansea.
Storytelling wedding photography: Clyne chapel and photos at the Clyne Gardens Japanese red bridge, in Swansea.
Wedding photography blog by Amy Reed
Storytelling photography for weddings is our natural style, when combined with such a relaxed couple like Jamie & Bethan, we feel it really shows in the photos.
Beth & Jamie’s wedding photography was all about the three Clynes... Clyne Chapel, Clyne Gardens and finally the reception at the super sunny Clyne Golf Club.
It is a very VERY rare day when the sun is that strong in Swansea, (yes you are reading that correctly) that guests actually need to wear sunglasses inside, just to be able to see! I know I couldn’t belief it either but there was not a single cloud in the sky the entire day! It was absolutely glorious and oh boy did everyone make the most of creating a huge celebration for Jamie & Bethan!
The drinks were flowing, along with a few happy tears - all topped off with the sun setting directly in-front of the reception room at Clyne Golf club for all the guests to enjoy.
For their couples pictures, Clyne Chapel is actually within the setting of Clyne Gardens, considering how beautiful it is when in-bloom, it would have been silly to go anywhere else.
Bethan loved the idea of them having a photo together at the top where they often go and sit together on the bench. It’s the highest point of Clyne Gardens that also has the beautiful view over Swansea bay and the Mumbles head, so we got our walk on to the top!

Why did you pick Flashbulb to photograph your wedding day? : We liked the natural looking photos on your website and after meeting with Amy we felt that she was approachable and laid back - this made us feel comfortable considering we are both extremely camera shy!
Tell us your "love" story.: I (Bethan) was working at the DVLA and Jamie was put on my team as a Summer Casual on a 6 month contract. We locked eyes across the computer screens, started talking about Game of Thrones and found out we had lots in common. We used to catch the bus down to the car park together and then make any excuse to go and talk to each other in work. Our first date was a pizza and film at my house and thus started the secret (but no so secret because everybody knew...) relationship - We would have been made to go on different teams if we said it was official so we denied it when anybody asked, and had to run and hide from a few colleagues we saw when we went shopping in Asda together!
The proposal !!!: We had gone on a weeks holiday up to North Wales in a cottage with some of my family. Jamie and I decided to walk up mount Snowden as a challenge and as we got near the top there was really strong wind, snow and mist. I totally remember seeing frost on Jamie's eyelashes. The wind was so strong it started to feel a bit dangerous but we made it to the very top anyway and up the little steps to the highest point. We took a photo and then I said 'let's go, before we get blown away!' and I started walk down, then I turned around and Jamie was getting down on one knee, smiling, and proposed to me. Once we got back down we got to celebrate with everyone back at the cottage and it was a lovely get together.
What made you choose your wedding venues at Clyne chapel & Clyne golf course in Swansea? We chose Clyne chapel because we love Clyne Gardens - we'd gone on a lot of dates there and now we have our dog it's one of our favourite places to go for a walk. We then chose Clyne Golf Club because it was nice and close to the chapel.
The wedding day: We are going for a very relaxed beach theme. We didn't want anything too formal, just wanted everyone to feel comfortable have a good time.
What happens next as newlyweds? : As newlyweds we're looking forward to our honeymoon around America/Bahamas and a months holiday off work. Then we'd like to concentrate on fixing up the house together and enjoy as many days down the beach as we can :)
