Swansea city centre pre-wedding | Jenna & Dan

Wedding photography & videography duo take to the streets of Swansea for a pre wedding shoot with a rustic background. After an inspiring workshop at Photography farm in Edinburgh my imagination was burning holes in my brain. Filled with ideas of symmetry and new ways of lighting couples, my guinea pigs Jenna & Dan were very willing, if only a little cold! I'd already spotted a few areas I wanted to try but the great thing about walking with a couple, is finding inspiration along the way like the painted boarded up shop. It is also a great way to relax, if you're walking and talking, you're busy and pretty much forget the camera.

After a drink and chat to go through their final wedding details, we left the warmth of the Coffee shop to start our loop, walking around Parc Tawe, up through High Street Car park (not advised, it stinks of wee) down High street and back through Parc Tawe via the bridge that joins it to Castle Street.

King Arthur winter wedding in Swansea | Al & Stephen

Ally and Steve’s wedding photography & videography at the King Arthur in Swansea, was a little bit of a reunion. Rewind a year to Al’s sister Natalie getting married to Martin on a super sunny day at the Barn at Brynich. Now, it’s November 2017 and we’re at the King Arthur in Gower to photograph and film the Mc Taggart’s day after over 20 years together!! Lots of familiar faces, wonderful memories from the year before and everyone in high spirits to make new ones.

You can’t beat the King Arthur for the ceremony set up, the twinkling lights and dark wood fit a crisp winters morning perfectly. Simply a beautiful setup with minimal decor.

Walking in, apart from the array of makeup splayed across the table, bridesmaids dresses hanging up, frantic speech writing going on... judging purely by Al’s relaxed demeanour as if it was just any ordinary Thursday in November. When the girls got a bit stuck lacing the dress up, there was no sign of stress when they called for emergency backup, in the form of Jessica from another cottage. (Not our Jess) She simply carried on sipping on her fizz and smiling through it all.

This carried on throughout the day, fully enjoying every moment. And that’s exactly how it should be!! When we went to Cefn Bryn for their couples pictures together, they were so relaxed, they giggled and chatted through all the shoot like they could do it in their sleep.

Check out their wedding day photography and videography highlights below!
