Swansea wedding blog featuring dramatic landscape wedding photos taken over Three Cliffs bay from Pennard Golf club in Swansea. A church wedding for Emma & Chris at St Mary’s in Pennard Swansea before their wedding reception at the golf club. September summer wedding with beautiful weather and a perfect sunset for their wedding day.
Sun, laughter & dramatic landscapes would be the way I’d sum up Emma & Chris’ September wedding day.
Just a stones throw from her childhood home, Emma married Chris with their emotional but ever so slightly giggly (mainly the bridesmaids) ceremony at St Mary’s church in Pennard.
Leaving as newly weds with the sun beaming down to an archway of confetti raining down from their nearest and dearest!
After picking up our golf buggy ride, Chris took the wheel, Emma riding shotgun and I rode clinging to the back in the golf bag section. We headed to the furthest reach of Pennard golf club over towards the dramatic views of the jagged peaks of Three cliffs and the bay below. The location wasn’t just for chosen for it’s breathtaking views but also because this is where Emma, Chris, their family, friends all play golf, where Emma grew up but also the very spot where Chris proposed and they got engaged the year before! So to say it holds sentimental value is an understatement and the perfect location for their wedding reception.
Whilst we were away, the guests relaxed with some cocktail making and Phil Jay entertained with his amazing magic tricks before settling down for a delicious three course delight and speeches funny enough to give you face ache.
The magnificent backdrop of the course and Pennard castle in the distance, made for the most incredible sunset whilst the temperature was still warm enough for everyone to carry on relaxing outside into the night.Read More
