Three Cliffs rock climbing engagement adventure and Oxwich bay wedding photography in Swansea.

Adventurous Three Cliffs pre-wedding shoot, followed by beach wedding photography in Swansea at The Oxwich Bay Hotel.

At Three Cliffs, Caroline and Adam scaled their way right to the top during their pre-wedding adventure photography shoot in Gower. Similar to an engagement session but much closer to the wedding, a fun way to break the ice.

Caroline & Adam’s wedding at the Oxwich bay hotel was one that started with a full fry-up, in their home that was full of family & groomsmen. They scrapped the ‘not seeing each other before the wedding’ tradition but Adam still left with the boys, while Caroline stayed and attended to finishing touches.

The bride’s outfit... Handmade, by Caroline herself! The mother-of-the-bride made her dress too, an impressive duo!

As flowers were being added to Caroline’s hair, Adam was heaving his hiking bag off to the wedding venue in Gower. When a big chunk of the wedding party usually have a busy doctor’s schedule to contend with, they weren’t going to miss the rare opportunity to rock climb with friends from all over the country,

It’s a theme that continued: the bridal two-piece hung up with bungee cords and the wedding cake topper shaped as two climbers. We even incorporated climbing into their pre-wedding shoot at Three Cliffs Bay, they actually scaled the entire edge and popped up at the top where I was waiting on a different side. (I went the sand dune route.)

The couple wanted to keep the day uncomplicated and relaxed, the sunshine was agreeable to their wishes, and groups of friends sat on blankets on the green outside the marquee. A few, including the ever-intrepid bride and groom, actually went for a paddle in the sea to cool off before the Ceilidh dancing started.

A traditional Gaelic folk band set-up, teaching all the guests that got involved each routine. After a lot of giggles, wrong turns and tangled arms, you could see them getting to grips with the Scottish moves, learning the steps, and swinging each other around with confidence!

It really was a day, matched by a night, to remember.
