A May wedding at Woodhouse barn in Rosemarket, Pembrokeshire
| Clare & Josh’s photography, videography & a pre-wedding shoot in Snuff Mills, Bristol.

Is there anything more appealing than arriving at your wedding on a motorbike? The wind in your hair, the sun on your face and Cool Rider playing in your mind as you roll up to the entrance of the rustic, wooden barn you’re about to get married in. A cool cool cool cool rider…

I want a c-o-o-l r-i-d-e-r ....

No, just us?

Well, we thought the groom, Josh looked pretty cool rocking up this way. Matched only by his bride Clare, in a vintage, racing green Morris Minor 1000.  Both vehicles also came in useful as a prop for their couples photos, up against the red sides of the rustic Woodhouse barn.

Clare & Josh were blessed with the most glorious of days for their, 'May the Fourth be with you', wedding. The sky was filled with nothing but sun and blue skies. Which was just as well, considering they had their hearts set on the ceremony taking place outside in the Hen House.

The Hen House at Woodhouse barn, is a small rustic wooden structure with an octagon shape, which, you guessed it, was once where the hens lived. The great thing about this venue is that, if needed, there is a plan B available and the ceremony can be relocated to the main barn. An emergency venue change isn't even stressful because the main barn is also incredibly striking with its high ceilings, original features and 360 degree balcony. This rural Pembrokeshire wedding venue is surrounded by fields, a setting that is perfect for a relaxed, no stress wedding.

Also on site is a glamping area, called the Bell Tent Village. It’s all set-up in advance with electricity and beds inside! Guests can simply roll out of the party and into a yurt without worrying about taxis.

It was our first time shooting a wedding at the barn & it did not disappoint!

Enough of the details though, check out their wedding photos and video for yourself. Oh & apologies if Cool Rider is now stuck in your head. (Sorry, not sorry.)

Why did you pick Flashbulb to film/photograph your day? : We wanted a photograph and videographer that worked alongside each other. We found Flashbulb online and once i met with Amy, I was sold :) Loved looking through their pics of previous weddings and knew that they were right for us.

Where did you get married? And what made you choose that location(s): Woodhouse Barn, Rosemarket, Pembrokeshire. Josh was against any church wedding and we both wanted something relaxed. Rosemarket is where i grew up, we had never been to a wedding at the Barn but once we looked around we knew it was the vibe we wanted. Loved the layout and the hen house where the ceremony took place. Loved that people didn’t have to travel between ceremony and reception and that the bar prices were the same as the local pub.

Wedding suppliers involved:
Flowers~ Flowers by Annabell // Hair and Make up~ Julie John // Dress~ Timeless Elegance, Cardiff // Suits~ Dress for the Occasion // Flower wall~ Dress up your Event , Llanelli // Band~ The Black Jacks, Bristol, Richer Music.

What wedding vibe/theme did you go for?: Chilled, relaxed and fun :)

How did you meet?: We met in 2007, both drunk in Subway doorway on a night out in Haverfordwest.
Added each other on bebo (before Facebook became a thing). Josh’s mum drove us to our first date KOokabar , Tenby as Josh was too tight to pay for a taxi.
Been together ever since.
Moved to Bristol in 2012, bought our first house together in 2015. Had our son Maddox in Feb 2017, in the Aug Josh proposed, hed planned to do it in Nice on the bank holiday weekend but he got too excited/nervous and ended up doing it in the garage on a random Sunday afternoon. Not the most romantic lol.

What happens next as newlyweds? : We flew to Sicily on the Monday straight after the wedding for 10 days. We hired a car and traveled around. I got pregnant on our honeymoon and am currently writing this 4 days overdue and the size of a whale. No more babies after this one. The next 5 years will consist of nice holidays and maybe a bigger house!
