LGBT wedding photography - St David's hotel, Cardiff Bay
Wedding photography blog from Scot & Steve’s inclusive wedding day at the St David’s hotel in Cardiff.
“ ‘If White company did weddings’ is our overall goal. “ Steve’s very words when I asked about the theme for their Cardiff wedding at the VOCO St David’s hotel. Clean white linen with hints of foliage, succulents and handmade touches throughout, including a superb succulents based seating plan and homemade soaps! Simple but beautiful decor throughout with a little extra colour comes from the Anderson Welsh tartan in Scot’s kilt and matching ties for Steve and best man Alex.
The guys had their hopes set on an outdoor ceremony on the balcony looking over Cardiff Bay, a gentle breeze kept us all cool whilst they said their vows looking over the stunning views of Cardiff bay barrage. Scot & Steve even got to walk back up the aisle twice when everyone forgot to throw their confetti first time around!
Scot & Steves details were the cutest! Knitted cake topper mice in matching tartan to the grooms!
The new Mr & Mr had wished for a totally relaxed atmosphere, with no speeches, first dance or traditional formalities. But when the DJ started and the music kicked in, the dance floor flooded to end the night with an almighty party!

Tell us your "love" story” Met online on plenty of fish and talked for a few weeks before the meeting. Steve was living in Coventry at the time and I was in Cardiff. We spent a few months back and forth between Cardiff and Coventry and eventually steve decided to move to Cardiff and find a job which he did quickly. A year later and we were living together in a little flat and 3 years after that bought our first house and got a cat. We aren’t particularly soppy but we’ve become a bit fond of each other.
The engagement proposal !!! ; It was a joint decision whilst doing the housework. Not too romantic I’m afraid.
