Destination Wedding at Château de Sanse, France | Jane & Jessie

Hit play on Jessie & Jane’s wedding highlights film from their destination wedding in France.

A Destination Wedding in France That Felt Personal

Jessie and Jane travelled from Somerville, Massachusetts to the French countryside to get married at Château de Sanse, and it felt exactly right for them. This was not a wedding built around trends or timelines. It was about slowing down, sharing good wine, and bringing the people they love into a place that encouraged everyone to relax and stay a while.

Jessie and Jane started dating just before Covid, with many of their early dates spent cycling to local wine shops, choosing champagne, and sitting together talking for hours.

That rhythm shaped the wedding they planned. Food, wine, conversation and connection were always going to matter more than anything overly formal.

France gave them the space to do that properly. Rather than one rushed day, their wedding felt like a shared experience. Guests explored, settled in, and genuinely enjoyed being there together.

Château de Sanse Wedding Photography

Château de Sanse is ideal for couples planning a destination wedding in France who want something relaxed but full of character. Warm stone buildings, open courtyards and vineyard views create a setting that feels elegant without being stiff. The ceremony took place outdoors, with live piano music welcoming guests as they arrived and views stretching across the countryside. The wedding was planned and styled by Marry Me In France, with Sue Christie coordinating the day itself. Sandra Van Wouwe, the venue owner, hosted everyone across the weekend, making the château feel more like a home than a hotel.

A Ceremony with Meaning

The ceremony was led by Ceremonies by Claudia and was one of the most personal parts of the day. Jessie and Jane shared personalised promises to each other, read aloud in front of their family and friends. It was emotional, grounding, and quietly powerful. No over production, no rushing. Just two people saying what mattered.

Music throughout the day came from Brian of Loose Covers Music, moving effortlessly from live piano during the ceremony into the evening celebrations.

Long Tables, Good Wine and Easy Conversation

Food and wine were always going to be central. Long tables were set in the courtyard, encouraging everyone to sit, talk and stay put rather than jump from one moment to the next. Wine pairings were guided throughout the meal and into the evening by ManVsWine, which turned dinner into an experience rather than just a meal.

As the light softened and the evening rolled in, the energy stayed high but never chaotic. Guests laughed, lingered, danced, and enjoyed the rare luxury of not being hurried.

Chatting with Jessie and Jane before they left for France, they wanted their wedding photography and videography to feel natural and unforced. They love candid images, the glances, the laughter, the quiet pauses, the moments you only notice when you are really present. Alongside that, they wanted simple, relaxed portraits with their families that would still feel right years from now.

Their wedding at Château de Sanse was warm, joyful and full of life. Proof that a destination wedding in France can feel both special and completely grounded at the same time.
