The Anrán at Tidwell farm in Devon, gives the impression that for an entire weekend, you own a small village with all your friends and family. It's a completely exclusive venue in the heart of Devonshire countryside with multiple 17th century barns. There's an amazing glass house where the outside literally comes in, a guest house with so many floors twists and turns you need a map, an outside heated pool, camping field with luxury teepee tents and so many more little barns, chickens running about, fresh produce growing everywhere and not to mention, two beautiful ponds. One of the ponds being where Tara & Sam actually handfasting ceremony was held, outside in the glorious sunshine. To say the least, the Anran is pretty darn impressive.

My first question to groom Sam was;  "What make you book the Anrán for your wedding?" - His answer was the only one I'd need because it told me everything I needed to know about their day to come. " The glass house, all the barns and the chilled out vibe, surrounded by friends and family." And in essence, this sums up their day perfectly.
As a couple they wanted a reportage style of natural photography with very limited structured shots & so, that's what we did. Their photos together as a newlywed couple were as undirected as possible, they went for a little walk around the pond where Sam picked Tara up in a moment of spontaneity, before walking hand-in-hand (Via the barn of hay bales, of-course!) up the drinks reception in the rustic courtyard to join their family and friends who'd travelled from London and across the world, as far as Hawaii!

Tara & Sam's outdoor ceremony beside the pond was extremely personal and emotional with heartfelt readings from both mums and before exchanging rings, they became bound together with the Celtic tradition of hand fasting.
In-between, the couple took a moment to sit and enjoy singing from guitarist
Duncan & Sam's own brother played the final song, getting everyone swaying and blowing bubbles before they joined arms and lead their guests out through a barrage of confetti to a drinks reception in the beautiful barn's courtyard.

When it came to the wedding breakfast, this is definitely where my excitement reaches an almighty peak, hence why there is probably way too many photos but the glass house is simply stunning. As you enter through large barn doors, you're hit by streams of light flooding through the glass, rustic wooden chairs and tables set with simple foliage arrangements, you're literally surrounded by plants growing from the floor, in pots and all around.

As a wedding photographer in Dorset and Devon, I literally felt spoilt for choice with this vast but rustic wedding venue, so many simple but carefully thought out details throughout, such a beautiful relaxed couple and to top it all off, perfect weather.
